Gran Hotel Montesol Ibiza

The historic Gran Hotel Montesol is the oldest hotel in the city of Ibiza and is located right in the heart of the old quarter. It is a landmark for the hospitality sector on the island of Ibiza. The property was declared a Historic building in 2002 and preserves its iconic colonial style façade. It has 33 rooms and suites, a restaurant, and a terrace overlooking the central Paseo Vara del Rey, and it offers its guests exclusive personalised service and unparalleled views of the Old Town, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Marketing and positioning in international markets by external operators specialising in luxury direct sales at the hotel.

Make the first hotel built in Ibiza into a luxury boutique hotel, a landmark five-star hotel in the Balearic Islands, and a year-long holiday and business destination, while preserving the Historic Building’s original charm and style.

Adh Hotels & Resorts was engaged to refurbish the hotel, manage procurement, and recruit staff, all in a short period of time. The work of marketing the product, both domestically and through a number of different marketing channels, was very intensive. Avintia Construcción carried out the work from November 2015 to July 2016, a very short span of time for a complete make-over of this size. The hotel opened on time under the Curio Collection by Hilton brand and was run by Adh Hotels & Resorts.

The renovations complied with the building’s historic nature and showcased its landmark features. No changes were made to the structure or the façade, and the hotel’s rating was upgraded from one star to five stars.

An emblematic, historic, downtown hotel, the Gran Hotel Montesol Ibiza, Curio Collection by Hilton, has positioned itself as a one-of-a-kind hotel establishment in its category in Ibiza and is open all year round. It is marketed at holidaymakers in spring and summer and the business trade in autumn and winter.

Five years after being re-opened, management and operation of the Gran Hotel Montesol Ibiza were turned over to the Experimental Group.

TUI Family Life Islantilla

A holiday complex and resort located right on the beach in Islantilla on Huelva’s western shore.

It has 478 rooms, 4 restaurants, 2 lounge bars, a fitness centre, a spa, 3 swimming pools, kids club and nursery, and an activities programme and offers half board and all inclusive.

Marketing and positioning on the national holiday market and the main European outbound tourism markets: Portugal, Germany, France, United Kingdom, Scandinavia, and Eastern Europe. Improving service and product quality

The hotel had been closed down, and the corporate situation was extremely complex. Two months of negotiations involving the legal, human resources, and finance departments were needed to put affairs in order so that the hotel could be re-opened. The facilities had been allowed to become run down, and no preventive maintenance was being performed. The property was renovated in record time and involved obtaining all official health and safety certifications and licenses, etc.

An initial strategic and negotiation phase was needed to iron out and solve all the corporate problems that beset the hotel and kept it closed.

A subsequent phase involved coordinated multidisciplinary efforts in which Operations and Sales decided all the opening tasks to assure proper operation and marketing of the hotel.

The hotel was re-opened on schedule, in a record time of nine days from when the agreement was signed. The project’s first season in 2015 proved to be exceptional, while the Adh Hotels & Resorts team was still at work to make the hotel over into a premium product that targeted a sand and sun and holiday market segment with growth potential. After attaining an average annual turnover of 8 million euros, the hotel was sold to the Estival Group in 2019.
